Why have I developed iMind2

I believe that we should all be able to have a conversation around how we are feeling mentally like we would if we were discussing a physical health need. We should be able to feel comfortable in discussing how we are feeling mentally to our colleagues or friends/family.

In order to eradicate the stigma associated with mental health we all need to be transparent in our conversation around mental health and this should be a priority within the workplace.

Join us and gain a deeper understanding of factors that can affect mental health. We aim to equip people to recognise the early signs of a possible mental health issue. By completing the training you will feel confident in how to offer initial help to a person experiencing a mental health issue.

Equality in First Aid provision would mean someone in every workplace would have an understanding of mental health issues and be able to offer support which would create happier, healthier workplaces and promote positive mental health.

"Mental ill health is responsible for 72 million working days lost and costs £34.9 billion each year.” ( Centre for Mental Health. Mental Health at Work 2017 ) Total cost of mental ill health in England is estimated at £105 billion. ( NHS England , 2016 )
